Russ and I decided to take our dogs, Alice and Dixie, to the lake today. They absolutely loved it! I was almost certain that Alice would hate this idea as she is very dramatic at times, but she proved me wrong. She wanted to stand up on the edge of the boat the whole time and look out at everything. Russ and I nicknamed her "Batman" for the day because her ears were flying high in the wind looking somewhat like wings.
Dixie also enjoyed the lake. She is the happiest dog in the world and soaks in every chance she gets to be in or near any body of water. I love her so much but she is really high-strung at times...I think the best way to describe her is much like the dog Marley in "Marley and Me". She doesn't listen at times and is extremely excited and tends to knock anything over that is in near range of her tail.
We had a wonderful time and the weather could not have been any better! I hope you all had a good and realaxing weekend as well!

So good to see Dixie again - I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of meeting Alice, but Dixie and I have had several run ins:)

HEY CLAIRE! Glad I found you on Lori's page. She'll have to add you to my friends. (Yes, over a year and still know NOTHING about blogging!) We love, love, love our dogs, too! It will be an adjustment when the sweet girl comes along. I just don't know that they will become "just dogs" to us like peole say. We'll see... I hope all is well with you guys. Tell your mom and Emily I said hello.
